Get to Know Your Lawyer: A Message From Shannon P. O’Malley
I believe that all people have a right to have their day in court. That all people deserve to be represented by competent counsel and to have an impartial jury decide their case. I care for the people of Illinois.
While at law school in Michigan, I worked for the Michigan Friend of the Court, dealing with minor children abuse and neglect cases. Upon graduation and passing the Illinois State Bar Exam, I became a member and participant in the Illinois Justice for Youth program.
Subsequently I was sworn into the Northern District of Illinois Federal Trial Bar (22 years+). I have represented hundreds of people in federal court. I have dealt with varying rape (criminal sexual abuse), arson, robbery (armed), UUW (unlawful use of a weapon, also referred to as gun charges) and PCS (possession of a controlled substance or drug possession) cases.
I have represented hundreds of people before the Illinois Secretary of State as to license reinstatement. I have defended clients from across the greater Chicago area against charges such as fraud, reckless driving, and all traffic violations and a full range of misdemeanor and felony offenses. I have successfully defended my clients in numerous jury trials.
Formerly I was on Cook County's arbitration panel (10 years+) as to differing subrogation and injury cases. I have been an active bar attorney for the Chicago Bar Association (10 years+).
If you or a loved one are in trouble, my team and I want to help. Let us stand up for you and defend your rights.
